SUMMARY:Tender Adjudication, Ethical Procurement and Contract Management
DESCRIPTION:Contracts are often critical to a business and are extremely valuable assets. Their value is often recognised in times of dispute, yet if the process is mutually accepted and understood, referral to them is minimal. Recent policy, legislative and regulatory reform in African government institutions is focused on enhancing service delivery to all the people of Africa. Good practice contract management has the capacity to increase revenue opportunities, decrease costs and enhance service delivery. Contracts are often managed manually and by multiple managers without an enterprise wide approach. A multitude of rules and complex decision making can lead to inflexibility, poor planning, extended lead times and below par service delivery. \nThis workshop will equip delegates with the knowledge to understand and apply the public institutional policy and legislative imperatives determining the issues of government planning, decision-making and service delivery and the manner in which these impact on contracts and contract management. Case studies will be discussed, and delegates will get the opportunity to apply what they have learned in practical exercises. \n\nAddressing the Responsibilities of Bid Evaluation and Bid Adjudication Committees\nDetermining the Bidding Processes\nUnderstanding the Contract Management Framework and Process\nHighlighting the Importance of Effective Relationship and Contract Performance Management\n Integrating Risk and Governance in Effective Contract Management\nIdentifying Potential Loopholes in the Contract to Prevent Fraud Waste and Abuse \nAddressing Key  Contract Issues for Public Private Partnerships (PPP)\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-user-o” add_icon=”true” title=”Who should attend?” tab_id=”1574254134506-755edee7-53e0″][vc_column_text]\n\nDirectors and Managers: SCM Procurement\n\nand Asset Management\n\nAssistant and Deputy Directors: SCM, Procurement and Asset Management\nInternal Auditors and External Auditors\nCEOs and COOs\nChief Risk Officer\nRisk Managers\nFinancial and Operational Risk Managers\nProgramme and Project Manager\n\n \nThis course is rated at NQF level 6 course and falls under the Diploma in Management\nThis course is rated at an NQF level 6.
